Our Mountain Cottage

    A few years ago my husband and I bought the most disgusting and abused little house. Built in 1967 it is 900 sq ft. with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. But it was all about the potential! What could be seen was the cutest little white cottage with a white fence sitting on top of a hill with pasture views and mountain views in the distance. You just had to look very hard.  So, the next several blogs will be about our journey to make this abused little house into the cute cottage we knew was there.
   

The house was gutted to about 75 percent. Lots of new insulation, electrical wiring, subfloors and drywall. We were able to save most of the original red oak flooring. Although we did most of the work ourselves  with help from friends the floors we had professionally done. Gorgeous!
